I met a woman one year. The most wonderful woman I have even known
Beautiful; long flowing curly brown hair, green eyes, a lovely face
Incredibly intelligent; the smartest person I have ever met
She truly was a rare jewel in the rough
We never really dated, but we spent a lot of time together. Did a lot of things I had always hoped to do
We went to plays, the symphony, the opera. Movies of all types
I saw and experienced many wonderful things during this period
It was one of the best times of my life
Spending time with this woman was incredible
To see her smile, make faces, enjoy life
I wanted to spend every day, every hour, every second with her
I never knew what being in love was like before this
But now she is gone; across the country
We keep in touch, but whatever may have been there is gone
And I am left to wonder:
