Both of these lines are part of the South Corridor Project.
I-205/Portland Mall Extension (Green Line)
This project would extend the current MAX line South from the Gateway Transit Center down a transitway along I-205 to the Clackamas Town Center. This would extend Max South and complement the Airport Red Line. A component of this project involves renovating the Portland Mall in downtown Portland to take light rail trains.
This line would serve yet another growing area of Portland. Adding capacity to the Portland Transit Mall would allow for future extensions.

Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail (Orange Line)
This line would extend from the Portland Transit Mall, across the river and down into Milwaukie. Among other locations this line would serve OMSI. Line is currently in the early planning stages.
