I originally started this site to cover the Link rail line in Tacoma. I grew up in Tacoma and always thought it was a nice place to live. But Tacoma has always gotten shortchanged in favor of Seattle. So when Tacoma started construction of the state's first light rail line, and I noticed that it wasn't getting much coverage anywhere, I decided to start this site.
As time went on, I realized that there were several other projects in the vicinity that I could cover as well. I have always had an interest in trains and transportation and the projects in the area have fascinated me. So I decided to try to cover all the local projects.
I do all the work, writing and photography on the site myself. All opinions are mine and mine alone, with the backing of having lived here for 29 years.
