I originally started this site because there was little information on the construction of this light rail line. Especially as I would search the Web and advocacy sites and see detailed images and descriptions of other lines, I found it disturbing. While I wasn't living in the Tacoma area at the time, I did grow up there and have always disliked the unfair treatment and portrayal of the area. Tacoma has always had many good attributes, and has really been enhancing itself recently.
So I took some pictures of the line under construction and posted them. But as time went on and I spent more time on the line, spent more time downtown, saw all the changes I realized there needed to be more. Also, while some other sites started to post a couple of pictures and descriptions, there was nothing really "definitive". I also decided that more needed to be covered than just the line itself. All the new things going on downtown, and how to use the line to explore them.
I hope you find this site useful, in explaining what the line is and how it works with the new downtown Tacoma. Please feel free to send me any comments or questions.
